This year marks the 50th anniversary of Arsenal’s first double-winning season of 1970/71. To celebrate this momentous occasion adidas has created the new Arsenal 21/22 away kit with a return to our traditional away colours of yellow and blue, drawing inspiration from this double-winning season and also the league cup win at Anfield in 1989. The 1970/71 English football season was a truly historic campaign for Arsenal, winning both the Football League First Division and the FA Cup trophy becoming just the fourth side in history to complete the coveted double. It would take another eighteen years before winning another league cup on a remarkable night at Anfield often referred to as the greatest end to a league season that has ever been.
